CNET reports on the addition of cross-platform search on certain models of the Roku (Roku LT, Roku HD, Roku 2). With the new feature, searches will display results from Netflix, Amazon Instant, Vudu, Hulu Plus, Crackle, and HBO Go.

Samsung has made an Amazon Instant Video app available on its 2012 smart TVs for download through Samsung Apps, says BigPictureBigSound.com.
Smart TVs are on the rise, according to this article from TVTechnology.com. Interestingly, though, North Americans seem to have comparably little interest in them.
